Commissioning process

Commissions for approx £60,000 worth of Musical Inclusion work in Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire

The consortium of Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire music education hubs is offering a Youth Music funded opportunity to develop musical inclusion in ‘cold spots’ and ‘breakthrough’ opportunities within the three counties of Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

The consortium has been successful in gaining funding from Youth Music for further year (the ‘MINC+ programme’.)

The work we want to support builds on the successes and challenges of the 2013-14 musical inclusion programmes and will be aligned to wider priorities within the three counties.

These are the priorities for the work we want to commission

1. The development of effective and sustainable models for alternative curriculum provision

2. Exploration / development of models of effective remote teaching

3. Opening up progression routes for young people beyond the mainstream

This Youth Music bid is specifically for new opportunities rather than to sustain currently running initiatives for a further year. It is to be noted that this particular stream of funding from Youth Music will cease at the end of March 2015

The deadline for applications for MINC+ commissions closes at 12 noon on March 17th 2014.

To register your interest in the work, get more information and an application pack, please contact Claire Smith by emailing cconsult@btinternet.com clearly giving your name, contact number and the name of your organisation (if you’re part of one).
